A small group of women, referred to as the "Ladies Who Uke" were taking lessons with Killian Mansfield in 2009. Killian passed away in August, 2009, following a 5-year cancer battle. After that, George Koury, a very talented ukulele player (and Tiny Tim's cousin) -- also a dear friend of Killian's -- graciously offered to guide the group.
